I Love Alaska!I love the cold, dark winter nights, the long, light-filled summer days, the solitude that can be found anywhere, the friendly people, the beautiful plants, and the abundant wildlife. Alaska is called the last frontier, and I want to bring this magnificent place into your home. My wife and I moved to Alaska in 1994. I attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks and received a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology. I spent three summers working with various forms of wildlife including peregrine falcons, common goldeneye ducks, voles, and brown bears. I was fascinated by the behaviors displayed by the different animals. After the birth of my second daughter I decided to pursue a career in a field I have always enjoyed - photography. Animal behavior continues to amaze me and I try to to capture each unique personality in every photograph. |

I first started photography when I was 18 years old. I purchased my first
camera for $25.00 and now I have three cameras and numerous lenses. I
enjoy all types of photography, but my favorite is wildlife. I love the challenge a wild animal brings to photography. You never know what they will do or which direction they will move. I love the thrill of watching a bear catch a salmon in its mouth, only to let it go so that it can catch another. I love being in the wilderness all alone and finding a wolf print along a riverbed. And I love hearing the sound of an eagle pounding the still air with its wings. |
